About Sea Rocket!
The name Sea Rocket comes from the wild rocket (cakile maritima) that grows on our beaches. Since we are connected to what our local waters and land can provide, be it wild, farmed, or ranched, that is the basis of our restaurant.
Executive Chef and Partner Chad White turns these ingredients into culinary delights for you. Hearing him talk about food is an exhilarating experience in itself, and tasting his dishes is even better. Chad was formerly Executive Chef at Roseville Restaurant and Doubletree Golf Resort, and has worked at 1500 Ocean, and the Hotel Del. General Manager Elena Rivellino and businessman Dennis Stein opened the restaurant in June 2008 and bring their passion for food, community, the environment, and good times.
We bring in the best wild and sustainably caught local seafood and we make it taste amazing! Our menu is constantly changing, but you’ll find things like halibut, lobster, scallops, oysters, sardines, sea urchin and other delicious catch from our waters. We serve pastured California meats and numerous vegetarian dishes, and can adapt many dishes to your preferences and diet. Enjoy your food with one of San Diego’s award winning craft beers or a bottle of California wine in our creatively designed and hip 30th Street restaurant.
