A Secret Food Lover's Vacation Paradise

Andrea Peterson has created paradise on earth. Behold...

A few weeks ago, we got to enjoy a couple of days on her 13 acre farm because she hosts people as a bed and breakfast. We found out about her place through Dave Barnes of Crow's Pass Farm. He buys some produce from her, and we buy from him, so he put us in touch when I was asking about a "non touristy place to stay somewhere near Temecula".
Here's the house we arrived at.

Basically the whole goal while we were there was to see how much food we could steal from her farm. The raspberry field is especially fruitful. Here's the dog enjoying it too.

And here's our loot.

Me so happy I'm swinging from the avocado trees!

In the morning we woke up to a breakfast that Andrea cooked with almost all ingredients from her farm.

Definitely bring your girlfriend and push her in mud.

In case you'd like to check it out... Blue Heron Bed & Breakfast. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a weekend of food and farm luxury close to home. Did I mention that the rooms are specular too?

that looks like a blast, how

The very large and luxurious room is $200 / night. The somewhat smaller, but still very nice rooms are as low as $150 / night. It's fun to walk around the farm and to relax and do nothing the rest of the day! You could use it as a base for a visit to wineries or even to the beach in Oceanside, but I think it makes more sense to just stay at the farm and hang out.
