Sea Rocket Bistro support various community events and fundraisers for local organizations. We thought we'd share these with you, in case you might be interested in participating in them yourself and to help spread the word about what they're doing.

We participated in the 5th Annual Taste of Slow Food San Diego and Stagecoach Days in Old Town on Saturday evening, August 23rd. Here's a little bit about our experience there.

The August NPCA (North Park Community Association) Monthly Mixer was held at Sea Rocket Bistro on Wednesday, August 20th. (Thanks to everyone who came- we had a great time hosting you!) Check out their website for all kinds of great community sponsored events and get involved.

On Saturday, July 19th, we sponsored a food course (of grilled sardines, of course!) on the menu at the Pro Peninsula Summer Lunada, hosted by an organization dedicated to environmental work in Baja.

Another event we've sponsored is the Golden Hill CDC's "Meet the Chef" Dinner Series. We helped source some San Diego white sea bass (provided by Romolo Ghio) for their local fish entree, as well as donating one entire sea bass to the cause.

On an ongoing basis, we host parties at our communal table in the front room, which can seat up to 20 people comfortably. This is an ideal setup for birthdays, anniversaries, family reunions, business or networking meetings, company parties, and any other celebration you can think of. We even hosted a movie night for the organization Food Not Lawns who will be showing "The Future of Food".

In September, we'll be hosting the Sierra Club's "Sipping Sierrans" meeting, where they'll taste 4 different local wines while munching on some of our seafood appetizers. And also in the Fall, we'll have a group from the San Diego Opera in for dinner, who will be having a guest speaker discussing their presentation of "Peter Grimes," a story set in an English fishing village!
