Sea Rocket will be debuting another LOVELIKEBEER event soon- a new “Menu Series” project aimed at supplying San Diego and LOVELIKEBEER’s fans with full time access to the creative culinary plates that their pop-up beer dinner events are known for.
Chef Tommy Fraioli has created a Spicy Kimchee BBQ Grilled Seitan (protein derived from wheat) for summer, which will be served with house-made kimchee and a kimchee barbecue sauce served with grilled corn, green beans, and local citrus. With a little help from our LOVELIKEBEER friends Kory and Derek, we’ve paired the dish with Green Flash’s Hop Head Red, an award-winning Red India Pale Ale that emphasizes the boldness and spiciness of the dish. And because they roll a charitable purpose into every event that they do, this will be no exception- every time you order this dish, proceeds will be donated to Seeds@City, an urban farm located on the San Diego City College campus which empowers young, urban farmers and cultivates hope by training SD City College students in sustainable, local community agriculture.
