Park(ing) Day is this Friday, September 21st. Officially, it’s “an annual worldwide event where artists, designers and citizens transform metered parking spots into temporary public parks.” These miniature parks are called “parklets” and one will be installed in front of Sea Rocket Bistro on Friday, created by some neighbors and members of the San Diego Urbanist group. EVERYONE is welcomed to join in setting it up, embellishing it, and populating it for the day! We will gather in front of the restaurant starting at 9am, and we encourage you to come by anytime during the day to lounge in the space, make some new friends, and enjoy the beautiful day in beautiful North Park! The Roast Coach Coffee Bar will stay open until 3pm, and we will open early at 4pm for Happy Hour so that you’ll be well fed and hydrated whenever you can stop by. We hope to see you there!
